Cheese!

We have started walking after dinner, looking for Pokemon.  There aren't many in our neighborhood, much to the disappointment of the kids.  And since we are at the end of the day, they tend to argue over who holds the phone as we walk, look at the phone not the sidewalk and fall, tell on each other when one is looking at the phone, forget cars are zooming by, dislike whatever song I am also playing that their sibling loves, and generally gripe about everything. They even griped about sitting for a picture, but you can't really tell here.

Beach Day

Today the weather was great, so we headed over to the beach for a couple of hours.  We were close to the only ones there!

After playing in the sand, we ate a little seafood at Peg Leg Petes.   It was a great day!

Campign in the Yard

Marc surprised us today with a fire pit so we could roast some marshmallows and make some s'mores.  He also broke out the small tent, and he and the kids camped out overnight.

Sweet Symphony

Today Charlie went to the Mobile Symphony on a field trip.  His friend Stephen (on the left) had his mom as a chaperone, and she sent me this.  They had fun!

Rosie's First ER Visit

Last night Rosie slipped off her mini trampoline and landed face first into the tile floor.  Poor baby hit HARD and her tooth cut through the inside of her mouth to her lip.  There was a lot of blood that freaked us both out.  Marc and Charlie were at soccer and after a facetime, we decided to meet at the ER.  Luckily, no stitches, just a little dermabond!

This morning she went off to school like it was no big deal.

But today after school there was more bruising on my pretty girl's face.

My Barbara Bush Story

When we dedicated the Coverdell Building, President Bush was our featured speaker. I was with our VIPs as they were getting pictures with no plan for one of my own. Mrs. Bush absolutely insisted that I get a picture as well and would not take no for an answer. In my 10 years at UGA, this is the only time I got a shot with one of our special guests, and I am so glad I did.

No Baby, Baby

This is the note Charlie left with his tooth.  And when he woke up this morning, he was a little sad that there was no baby.
