For those seven weeks of the ear infection, I think Charlie's body spent so much time fighting the infection that he didn't grow. But since Charlie got the tubes in his ears, we have really noticed an improvement in him in general. Teeth are coming in, he is crawling all over the place, he's gained a pound and is about a half inch taller.
He has moved up a class at Little Prodigies (which is good - he was climbing all over those little babies!) and is in the Monet room (aka the Crawlers.) All the other kids there are pulling up and most of the other 7 kids in there are walking, so I think Charlie will be learning a lot. In fact, he has pulled up a couple of times in his crib. He just can't figure out how to get back down.
Charlie is napping in his crib, although still not as much as he needs. Instead of 2 two hour naps he gets maybe two 30 minute naps. There is so much going on ay Little Prodigies and he doesn't want to be left out. We are working on getting him to sleep and stay in the crib at bedtime. Next up will be sleeping through the night. (Both of those he did with no problem prior to the ear infection.)
It is amazing to watch him grow from a baby into a toddling little boy.
