My former Maryland co-worker had her second child in March, and she didn't know the sex until birth. So I made a quilt for a girl and one for a boy and waited anxiously to see which one I would gift! I was in Maryland for work at the end of March, so I got to go by and visit, give her the quilt and get baby snuggles. Here are some pictures of the quilt in use by Baby Griffin and Big Brother Mack - I love it!!

9th of July
Our neighborhood has fireworks the Saturday after the 4th of July. And this year, we invited a few friends over to eat BBQ at our house and then watch the fireworks. We had so much fun just sitting around and talking, and the kids had fun playing dress up at our house and then walking just up the street - all decked out in glow necklaces - and watching the show. My pictures of the fireworks are terrible, but it was a beautiful display!

Going Crabbing
At the end of June, we went over to Annapolis to have our first Maryland crabbing adventure. Some work friends invited us and we had a blast. Charlie and Rosie were very smitten with my co-worker's son Mack. Charlie loved him SO much that he renamed one of his stuffed animals Mack once we got home and had me write Mack on the tag of the animal in sharpie!
Crabbing was fun. We didn't catch many but Charlie loved checking the lines. It was more simple than I expected - we tied a raw chicken leg to a string, that was tied to the dock. When the line was taut, we would slowly pull up the string and catch the crab in a net.

Pinata!
Last weekend, we went out to western Maryland to attend a birthday party for one of Rosie's classmates - Tucker. It was at a park and a storm came about an hour in, so we were not there long. But we did get to whack the pinata!
Charlie enjoyed the pinata a lot more than Rosie!
Rosie picked out 4 pieces of candy and was finished. Charlie took as much as he could. I made him stop after 2 cups worth!

Even MORE Snow
We woke up to almost 2 inches this morning. And I STILL had to go to work!
It was perfect snowman snow, too.

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
The snow plows FINALLY go around to clearing our streets 5 days after Snowzilla, and in the process, left a massive pile of snow in our yard. So the kids played on our version of snow mountain while Marc built a snowman.
