After Hampton, we headed down to Pensacola. And we got to cheer on Ohio State in their bowl game with Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck!

Christmas Eve Present
On Christmas Eve, Charlie and Rosie opened their gift from Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck.
And were they ever excited - Magna Tiles! Charlie has some of these in his classroom and it had been his favorite thing to play with. So Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck gave them a set to have at home.
And thanks to modern technology, Grandma and Papa were there to watch!
These have really sparked Charlie's imagination. Every day it's a new boat or house or spaceship or castle. And since Christmas, we've had to buy another set so they could build bigger and better things!

Birthday Gift
This year, Charlie got a big boy bike for his birthday!

As soon as he got dressed (and we all did, too) he went out to try out his new ride. He was excited and a little nervous. And he needed Daddy and Grandma Dot to help him gain confidence.
Then Charlie had his first fall, and needed Grandma Dot even more.
But check him out now! This was from last week, when Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck were up to visit.

Front Porch 5K
On June 7, Marc ran the Front Porch 5K right outside of Athens. Marc had a top 10 finish overall and was first in his age group!
Then Charlie participated in the Tot Trot. Look at those fists and that determination as he approaches the finish line.
Charlie was very proud of himself and his daddy
And was happy to have Papa Chuck there to share the fun!

Christmas Eve Photo Fail
On Christmas Eve, we let Charlie open an early present from Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck.
Christmas Jammies!
And since Charlie opened a gift, he thought Grandma Janice should, too. So she opened one from my parents, with a little help.
And then we put the jammies on, as I wanted to get a picture like I did the previous year. But others did not want to cooperate.
But finally, we got some smiles. Sort of.
