Miss Laura was one of Rosie's first teachers in the crawler's classroom. Right before Rosie moved up a class, Miss Laura got a job at UGA in parking services. She has loved the new job - it's more in line with her career goals of working at a college - but it did take her away from all her babies. Luckily Miss Laura has been able to babysit and see Charlie and Rosie. We just love her.

Charlie's Last Day at LP
I feel like this summer was not restful at all. Being offered a new, great job meant leaving Athens and that has been so hard. he worst was knowing that our babies would have to leave the school and their friends that we love so much. Charlie would have been leaving anyway, to go into PreK, but that doesn't make it any easier.
Then we decided to have Charlie's tonsils and adenoids removed. He was snoring so loud, grinding his teeth and had some irregular breathing when he drifted off at night. So we decided to have them removed in Athens before we left.
That meant that Charlie had to leave LP even earlier, so we could have them removed and have time to recover and get rechecked. So July 3 was his last day. Ooof, I cried a lot that day.
Of course, he ended up going back for two weeks when we didn't leave as soon as we expected and they had a space open temporarily in his class. But that didn't make this day any easier for me.

Charlie's Art
Charlie's Art was based on the book they studied for the week.

Charlie's Last Day
Today is going to be a hard one for me. It is Charlie's last day at Little Prodigies. I will probably come back to this post and wax more eloquently later about how much this place has meant to us. But right now all I can do is post pictures and try not to cry.
He is getting his tonsils out next week, and would have been out of school for 3 weeks, so it just didn't make sense to pay when he would be leaving soon anyway.
Charlie knows this is his last day, but I don't think he really understands that he won't be coming back. And I am kind of glad for that. I do understand it and can't stop tearing up.

2014 LP Easter Egg Hunt
We participated again in the LP Easter Egg Hunt. This year they did a great thing - separated the ages. So instead of 3 year olds running down new walkers to get an egg, they mowed down kids their own age. And Charlie made sure he was at the front of the line.
While Rosie attended last year, she and James just sat on a blanket and watched. This year, she participated and was all about getting those eggs!

Emma's Birthday party
Charlie and Rosie have both been in class with sweet Emma. Currently she is in Rosie's class and her teachers tell me that Rosie just loves Emma. Follows her around and pets her arm and back and says her name over and over - MMM-MA! MMM-MA! Emma is very patient and lets her. It is so funny, though, because the two are in the same gymnastics class and don't interact with each other at all. But both girls are very attached to their parents, so maybe we get in the way? Who knows.
All that to say that we were thrilled to get invited to celebrate Emma's birthday.
The party was at Pump-It-Up, and although Rosie has been there before she really discovered the slide this time. And would have exclusively gone up and slid down for the entire two hours if we would have let her.

Rosie and Miss Sam again
Rosie on the slide again, this time with Daddy and Charlie
Charlie enjoyed it, too, and loved getting hugs from Miss Athena
I even relinquished the camera and had a few turns
Charlie had the most fun, though, in the ball arena. It helped that Daddy was there to make it even more fun.
Rosie even gave it a try
