Best Buddies

After Carter's birthday, we spent the night at the Daniel's home.  Carter didn't want Charlie sleeping in a different bunk - he wanted his buddy right there. So when I went in to check on them, this is what I found. Sweet boys!

Carter's Birthday

We really criss-crossed the state of Georgia during our trip!  Because we followed up our pool party on Alma with a birthday party in Athens. We were able to go celebrate the birth of one of Charlie's favorite friends - Carter.  The boys picked up like we never moved.

 

 

Rosie had a good time, too, but she was not as thrilled at seeing her old buddy, Truitt.

 

 

     

Last Day

I wasn't there for the kids' last day at Little Prodigies.  And that was probably a good thing, because I am sure there would have been some ugly crying on my part.  Heck, I was already in Maryland and I cried.  But that day care really did mean that much to us.  They cared for our babies while we worked.  They taught them and loved them.  And it was where we really built our Athens community.  And that is something you just can't replicate.

This was Charlie's second last day at LP.  When we were in Athens for longer than we expected, and after he healed so well from having his tonsils removed, we were able to send him back for two weeks.

Athens Buddies

I left Athens before Marc and the kids.  They stay for another week or so while I began my job and the movers packed up.  So they got more time with our Athens friends and I lived through iPhone photos.  I miss them all so much.

In was really proud of myself - I made it through Rosie's last gymnastics class at Georgia Elite without sobbing.  Rosie, however, had this.

Charlie and his friends were exhausted.  Sign of an excellent birthday party!

Charlie's birthday

Once I took the new job in Maryland, we decided to have Charlie's birthday party a little early, so he could celebrate with his Athens friends. He said he wanted a Star Wars Bouncy party and that's what he got!

 

So we secured a day at Pump-It-Up and had a blast! The only thing that went wrong was that I forgot to charge my camera, and it dies rather quickly.  Luckily our phones have cameras, too.

Lots of Charlie's friends were there, as well as some of Rosie's.  It was so fun to be with all of our pals from Little Prodigies.
