28 Weeks
I am 28 weeks pregnant today. Third Trimester! I guess we better start getting ready for her arrival.
I had an extra ultrasound Friday because I am an underweight mom. Or was, anyway, when it was scheduled. Now, with all the ice cream eating, I am doing pretty well. No pictures, because she wouldn't show us her face or her head. But she is measuring perfectly, absolutely average. Everything looks very good. She is up to 2 pounds, some-odd ounces
Charlie has a new molar on the bottom poking through. We had seen it pressing against the gum, but it has now started to break the skin. This has led to very early mornings (up at 4:45 or 5:00am), little eating, diaper rash (just when we thought it was over!) and lots of fussing.

Shooting Baskets
Notice how he puts the ball on the ground first? He is "dribbling" the basketball before he shoots.

Bye Bye - NO!
Last weekend, Marc was at a conference in Pennsylvania, so my mom came to help out me and Charlie. When it was time for her to leave on Sunday, Charlie was NOT happy.

1, 2, 3!
In Gymnastic class, Coach Dave is teaching Charlie to jump. Looks like he's getting pretty good.

27 Weeks
I am 27 weeks pregnant today. And it has been a good, uneventful week. It's Spring Break in Athens, so traffic has been light and the weather has been in the upper 70s and low 80s. Baby is moving around a lot and likes to bounce on my bladder. Charlie wants to be outside all the time - we hear ouside! ouside! many times a day.

Blowing Kisses and Belly Laughs
Every night before Charlie goes to sleep, he blows Marc kisses. Marc, being the funny dad he is, catches those kisses with flair. And Charlie just loves it.

Charlie's Babble
Charlie is a talker, and he isn't shy. He will talk to just about anyone. And he has gone from saying one or two words we understand to complete sentences of mostly babble. Here's a little sample.

26 Weeks
I am 26 weeks pregnant today. I had a check up at the doctor on Friday. I've gained 5 pounds and everything is looking good. I had my glucose test and am hoping that the results on Monday don't cut me off from oreos and ice cream.
This week brought Charlie's second doctor's visit in 5 days. The first was a week ago Friday, when he had his 18 month check-up. He weighs 25 pounds (50th percentile), still has a small head at 18.25 inches and is still tall at 33.5 inches (85th percentile). His verbal skills are way ahead of his age, which we knew, and his behavior - aka fit-pitchin' - is right on target. He wants to do a lot of things himself and is even trying to take off his pjs in the morning when we get dressed.
The second visit came this week, after two weeks of coughing, two days of fever and one night of super snot. Seriously, his nose was completely crusted over - he couldn't breathe out of it - and there was mucus all the way up his face and through his hair. Part of it was sticking straight up! Turns out it was a little case of bronchitis. We did have a mishap with the medicine - the doctor told us one thing and the pharmacy told us another. We got it straightened out, but had given Charlie a double dose. The side effect was not a big deal - a little looser poop. He still has a bit of the cough but is feeling MUCH better.

Playing Ball
I keep a pair of crocs by the front door in case I need to go outside. Occasionally, when I take my sneakers off in the living room, I'll put them next to the crocs. They are lined up parallel to each other and the trunk. However, Charlie decided to rearrange them and then sat for a while and bounced balls off the trunk.
Yes, his onesie is not snapped. And yes, he is wearing sandals and socks and has sunglasses around his neck. We are lazy and Little Man loves to wear shoes. And the glasses are just so much fun!

Tired Boys
Marc was laying on the beanbag watching TV at the end of the day, and Charlie decided to join him. And the little man stayed there until bath time, which is unusual for the boy-who-never-stops-moving.

25 Weeks
I am 25 weeks pregnant today. It is strange to me how different this pregnancy is from Charlie's. I was looking back at this week with him, and my feet were already swelling. And I'm not having the same problems sleeping. I am waking up at about 2am every night but can, for the most part, go right back to sleep. I crave sweets all the time, with oreos and mint chocolate chip ice cream being the favorites.

Cat in the Hat Visits Little Prodigies
This week was Dr. Seuss week at Little Prodigies, since today is his birthday. Every day had a theme - Monday was green food day (green applesauce, green milk, pesto alfredo), Tuesday everyone wore stripes, Wednesday was zany sock day, Thursday everyone wore their PJs to school and Friday was wear your favorite hat day.
Wednesday also brought a visit by the Cat in the Hat. He was a big hit in the 2 and 3 year old rooms, but in the Picasso room, everyone was a little more hesitant. Except Charlie. Word on the street is that he told the Cat all about it with his recent form of babble, played ball and then got a hug while all the other kiddies stood by and watched.
