My men came by to visit me at work. Charlie TOTALLY has a Marc smirk on his face!

33 Weeks
I am 33 weeks pregnant today, and I really gotta start getting some stuff ready for her arrival. We are going to transition Charlie into a twin bed and move the crib, so we should probably get on that. I hope that we can make serious progress after commencement on May 11.
I went to the doctor this week and everything is looking good. Excellent blood pressure and the baby's heartbeat is perfect. But I have lost 2.5 pounds because I have been so sick over the past two weeks. I am better now, but it has been a slow healing. I have another cough medicine and some nasal spray.

Gymnastics
Have I mentioned that Charlie is taking gymnastics? Every Saturday morning at 8:30 he tumbles and jumps and swings with two other little boys who also happen to be in his class at school. Charlie is so excited when he walks into the gym and he is learning more and getting stronger each week.

Charlie can swing on his own. Here Marc is teaching him to touch his toes to the bar. |

And at the end of class, everyone gets stamps on their hands and feet. Each week, at least one of the boys has a meltdown for a while. The meltdown immediately stops for stamps! |

Vet School Open House
At the beginning of the month, the UGA Vet School had it's annual open house. And since Charlie liked it so much last year, we decided to go again. He's older, he loves animals, he'll like it even more, right?
Sure, until the second animal we see - the calf below - moos and scares the bejesus out of him. I guess a real moo sounds a little different than when we say moo. The rest of the time there was a total loss and he wanted nothing to do with any of the animals.
He did stop crying long enough to share a hot dog with Daddy.
But tried to run away from the turtle. And Charlie LOVES a turtle.
He even cried at the dunktank. He refused to hold a ball (and if you know Charlie, you know that never happens) And when the Dean told him we could just press the button, he cried harder.
But that didn't stop me from dunking her :-)

32 Weeks
I am 32 weeks pregnant today. And this has been a ROUGH week for me. I came down with a horrible, awful cold or flu or bronchitis or something. Whatever it is, I have had a sore throat, horrible cough, fever, stuffy nose, body aches, and assorted other things that all go along with it.
This week was also Honors Week, and Wednesday I was in charge of a revamped Presidential Honors Day Luncheon, so I could NOT be sick. After a rough Saturday and night, I went to urgent care on Sunday and they gave me an antibiotic. After another rough night on Sunday, I called my OB and was given some cough syrup. But between those two and the Tylenol, my fever didn't go away and everything got worse. And it was now hurting under my belly when I coughed and I had completely lost my appetite. And I could only sleep for 20 or 30 minutes a night.
So I made an appointment Wednesday afternoon at the OB's office as soon as my luncheon was over and had a great visit with a mid-wife. I was given a z-pack and told to take Muscinex and four hours after I had taken the first dose, I was feeling much, much better. I am still tired and weak and recovering, but getting there.
Charlie still likes to say Hey and Bye-Bye to everything - Hey Sandy, Hey B-Ball, Bye Bye Crab, Bye Bye Daddy. He is also starting to use some complete and completely understandable phrases and sentences - Wheres Football? Why Mama? And my favorite from Saturday morning - Daddy Poot Poot.

Hunting Eggs With Friends
On Easter Sunday - after the play set was assembled and Grandma and Papa went home - we went over to the home of one of Charlie's classmates for another Easter Egg hunt. We had a great time hunting eggs and watching the kiddies play.

Little Prodigies Easter Egg Hunt
This year, Charlie was much more into the Easter Egg hunt at his school than he was last year. Guess that is the difference between 8 months and 19 months! He had a lot of fun getting the eggs and putting them in his basket. And then taking them out of his basket and putting them in his friends' baskets.

And then there were BUBBLES! |
And CUPCAKES! I think this was his favorite part.

Another Reason to be "Ouside!"
Easter weekend, we put together the play set that Charlie's grandparents got for him. More accurately, Marc put it together with my Dad's help, Mama watched Charlie and I rested.
This was not the easiest thing to assemble. The directions were in no way clear and the parts didn't always fit like they were supposed to. But Marc and Daddy did a good job getting it all to work.
It's not complete - there is a rock climbing wall that had a few broken pieces. We have requested replacements and waiting for them to arrive. But Charlie LOVES it. He loves to swing and climb and slide.
So get ready for Charlie-on-his-playset pictures!

31 Weeks
I am 31 weeks pregnant today. I went to the doctor this week and everything looks good. I've gained another 5 pounds, but I've also started throwing up again. This time, it isn't morning sickness, it's reflux. And Tums do nothing. So I've started on Zantac twice a day to hopefully stop the vomiting.
Charlie also went to the doctor, because the poor little man has eczema. It started with red spots on the inside of his elbows. It has spread up his arms, under his eyes, on the sides of his nose and on his trunk. It doesn't itch, just looks pitiful. Hopefully, between a prescription cream and Claritan, we will stop the rash.

Outside!
Charlie wants to be outside. All. The. Time. We hear "Ouside! Ouside!" very often.
And when we say no - it's cold, it's early, not right now - Charlie breaks out the tears. I just hope he still feels this way when he is 7 and video games are cooler than looking at neighborhood dogs.

Trip to the Zoo
Athens has a zoo. I have lived here for seven years and had no idea. So we decided to go check it out. It is very small in scale, but Charlie enjoyed it.
Checking out the alligator and turtles. Tur-tull!
Pointing out the owls.
The zoo has two bald eagles. I think this was Marc's favorite part.
Checking out the black bear habitat. What does a bear say? "RAWR"
