Tornado?

Right before Christmas, tornados hit parts of North Georgia.  The news talked a lot about the ones that hit other towns, including Rome, where my sister-in-law's brother suffered damage.  But no one mentioned a tornado in south Clayton County, across the lake from my parents.

17 Weeks

** For some reason, this didn't post in Sunday, and I was too busy at Disney World to notice :-). Sorry about that!**

I am 17 weeks pregnant today.  And finally, FINALLY, the nausea and vomiting have abated.  I still don't have an energy rush and my face is still breaking out like I am 17, but I don't even care because I can eat and drink and not worry about it coming back up.  YAY!!

I am still fitting into my clothes, although you can definitely see the baby belly.  I expect to break out the maternity clothes in a couple of weeks. And I am feeling pressure from Baby pushing things around.

Charlie is learning by leaps and bounds and continues to amaze me and Marc.  He is becoming very opinionated and independent.  It is exactly what I want but wow, is it tough to have a little boy that knows exactly what he wants.  New words this week are baby and thank you, although we are still teaching him when to say thank you.  He can repeat it but doesn't say it on his own.

Post Christmas Silliness

After all the Christmas fun, Charlie decided to jump up and down.  Which would have been fine on the floor.  On the chair, though, it was so much more fun.

Christmas Breakfast

After Christmas Eve with the LaMottes, we drove to Hampton for Christmas with the McDonalds. And there is no better way to start Christmas than with banana muffins!

On Christmas Eve, the LaMotte family gathered for food, fellowship and presents!

When Marc was a kid, he loved to wear a robe.  So Aunt Denise thought Charlie would like one, too.  I think she was right!

Aunt Denise and Cousin Alec helped Charlie open his presents, and he was also so excited about a barn full of animals from Aunt Judy. He loves the little lamb.

Marc bought - and wrapped - a watch for Alec.  And used half a roll of tape.

After about five minutes of struggling, Alec had to call mercy and send in the scissors.

Christmas with Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck

Presents!

We all visited Pensacola before Christmas, and Charlie opened his presents a little early so Grandma Janice and Papa Chuck could see him play with all the new fun stuff. This year, he got into the whole tearing-paper-off thing so it was a lot of fun.

16 Weeks

I am 16 weeks pregnant today.  Happy New Year Y'all!

We think we have found one of the causes of my vomiting - onions!  So I am trying to avoid them, even in the seasoning of food.  I am still having problems with food odors but I am hoping that it will be better soon.

This week we gave Charlie a little more freedom by moving the gates and expanding Charlieland. For the past two days he has ignored all toys and run around the couch and up and down the hall.  He LOVES being around the dogs more.  Charlie will climb on top of Lullabelle and lay on her, which she loves.  And he will chase Sandy and try to pet her, which she tries to avoid.

On a scary/concerning note, Marc thinks Sandy may have had a seizure last night, just after the new year.  We are really hoping she was just in a deep sleep and with her arthritis she had a hard time getting up and moving around.
