Three Months!

How have three months passed already since sweet Rosemary Nell arrived?

 

 

Aunt Christy gave Rosie this outfit at her shower.  She said it reminded her of Grandma Lorene and the bright colors she loved to wear.  Rosie is rockin' the wild pants!

A few months ago, Marc went to San Antonio to compete in a round of the World Series of Comedy.  He just missed making it to the finals in Las Vegas - or so we thought.  He recently found out that despite not making the final list in San Antonio, he made it!  And not as a wild card, but as a competing comedian in a fantastic slot on Friday at 9:00pm.  It is exactly where he wants to be.

 

But he can't go.

 

He has a show in New York City the next day and if he made it through (which he would, of course!) he would have to perform Saturday and Sunday.  We were both soooo disappointed.

 

And last week we learned that Marc had been named one of the hot 20 comedians for 2013 in Campus Activities Magazine. WooHoo!

For Charlie's birthday, Marc really wanted to get him a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal.  We found the perfect one online - and on sale!  Once it arrived at the house, we couldn't put it away and hide it until his birthday.  Marc and I were so excited we had to go ahead and give it to him.

I laid Rosie in her crib so I could do a few things in her room, and Charlie wanted to join her. I don't think he remembers sleeping in here at all - it is "Rosie's Bed."

One Cool Dude

 

And this cool dude went to the doctor today for his two-year checkup.  He weighs 27.2 pounds - in the 50th percentile.  His head is 18.75 inches around and he is 36.25 inches tall.  That puts him in the 95th percentile in height. Our doctor said that a good measure of a person's height is to double how tall they are at the age of 2.  If that holds true, Charlie will be almost 6'1" when he grows up.

 

He is very advanced verbally and ahead of the curve with his potty training.  Yay for a cool dude who is also super smart!

Charlie's First Skinned Knees

While we were in St. Simons, Charlie skinned his knees for the first time.  He has had all kinds of bumps and bruises, but this was the first (of what I am sure will be many) bloody knees.
