Draya's Birthday
Before we left Athens, Rosie also got to attend the birthday party of one of her favorite friends, Draya. It was at the splash pad and she had the most adorable Minnie Mouse cupcakes. Draya had a great time, until it was time to blow out the candles.

Emma's Birthday Party
Rosie went to the birthday party for her friends Emma before we left Athens. She was born one week after Rosie and was really the care taker of all the little friends. She wanted everyone to follow the rules and would always tell me where Rosie was when I came to pick her up and things about her day. We just love this sweet girl, so celebrating with her was so much fun.
Emma's birthday party had a ladybug theme, and her parents had decked out a great little play area at their house for all the kiddos. There were bubbles and slides and sand. Perfect for a two year old party!
Emily came to celebrate, too, and play with the ride-on toys!
And Crawfie, the lone boy of the pack, loved the pink car!

Four Years, Three Weeks, Four Days
Charlie had his four year check up yesterday, and it was his first visit with his new doctor in Maryland. She seems very nice, but she's just not Dr. Baker, who have cared for my babies since birth.
He is still really tall - 42.5 inches - and is in the 90th percentile. He weighs a little more than 38 pounds, which puts him in the 68th percentile. That surprises me, because he is so skinny. I expected his percentile to me much lower.
He did get some vaccinations - three shots. Poor boy asked us all repeatedly not to have shots and was not a happy boy at the end of the visit. He was screaming and crying, and after the second shot he started shouting," I'm good now, Guys! I'm good now, Guys!" Which made me laugh a little. I know, bad mommy.

Poor Babies
We have two little ones that are not on top today. Rosie has a raspy, wheezy cough that led to a croupy night last night. She also had a fever, and is home with Marc today. She had the same thing Monday and Marc took her to the new doctor up here, but the doc said to just watch her. Watching is not easy when it sounds like your baby can't breathe.
And then last night, right after bath, Charlie tripped and fell. He busted his lip HARD. Lots of blood, and even some worry that his teeth might have some damage. (They aren't loose, but there was blood from his gums, too.) There is also a scratch on his forehead. And when he got up this morning the lip was still swollen. We sent him to school with some straws since it hurts to drink from a sippy or regular cup.
Here is how he looked this morning:
In the above and below pictures Charlie looks A LOT like Marc at this age.
Check out the comparison!
But back to our sick babies. Being the lovely boy that he is, Charlie checked on his sister before going downstairs. And he took her milk (from her early wake-up) and put it in the fridge for her.
