Sweet Dreams

I had a late night last week, and when I came in, this is what I found:

Lullabelle was taking full advantage of my side of the bed by laying diagonally. And I don't know if you can see this, but she is watching me take the pictures. Instead of greeting me at the door, she was staking her claim on the bed and on Marc.

After I washed my face and got ready for bed, I had to move Lullabelle so I could fit in the bed, too. But she didn't go far.

She's a Lover, Not a Fighter

Or so we thought.

Friday the girls went to the groomers and they came back with more than just pretty scarves and ribbons. Lullabelle came back with a nice little bite mark.

Our groomer lets the dogs who get along roam around together instead of being in crates, which we like. Sandy HATES crates, and it gives Lullabelle a chance to socialize with other dogs. And usually there are no problems. But Friday I got a call from our groomer to let me know that Lullabelle had been in a bit of a ruckus.

Seems she was snapped at by another dog and she didn't back down. We were really surprised. LB is a happy-go-lucky girl who is also extremely passive. I like to think that since we adopted her almost 18 months ago, I have been teaching her to be a strong, independent woman who stands her ground and doesn't back down from a fight :-)

Afternoon with the Boys

Yesterday I spent the day with my nephews. I was greeted in the best way possible - by a Little B running towards me at full speed with his arms outstretched. He was so excited to have me over!

We played inside and we played outside and had so much fun! I took lots of photos - here are some of my favorites:

Funny Man

Last night was round 3 of Athens Last Comic Standing, and Marc was the top vote getter! He KILLED it with a great set in front of a good group of our friends and students. The finals are in a couple of weeks and I hope he wins. I already know he's the funniest man in town.

I-O!

So how did Marc celebrate an Ohio State football win? With the victory brat, of course.

Bratwurst, ketchup and Cheetos. Gross to me, perfect for Marc.

O-H!

Saturday we went over to the Mireckis for bratwurst and the Ohio State/Wisconsin football game. Ed received a degree from Wisconsin, and we are big Ohio State fans, so it was fun to get together with our friends for a little rivalry.

Trip decided to cheer for Ohio State, and made a jersey in honor of Marc and his favorite team. It was SO sweet!!

And here's how the OSU win looked - hehe:

Tailgate Fun - LSU Edition

Check out Jenny's belly! That's some Bulldog spirit. Too bad it wasn't enough to keep the refs from making bad calls and giving LSU the win.

Tailgate Fun - Arizona State Edition

I know I'm a week late on this, but Arizona State was an interesting game. Mainly because it poured. Our suite guests take a bus from the President's house to the stadium, but they were drenched on the walk from the but to the elevator. Lots of squishy shoes and socks that were wrung out in the bathroom sinks.

I got to drop by the tailgate for a short while before I went home to prepare for the President's pre-game reception and the game. But here are some pictures that our friend Anne took:

And here's one from our camera that Marc took. Jenny is due in mid-October and it looks like the baby has dropped and is getting ready to arrive!
