Sleepy Eyes

Charlie's eyes, just like mine, show how tired you are.

New Toys

Marc's parents brought some of his old Matchbox Cars up for Charlie to play with.  There are three or four that he would sleep with at night if we would let him.  He has had the best time playing with them - and Marc has, too!

What We Ate This Week

Acorn and Butternut Squash!

Again, Rosie acted like she wasn't crazy about the flavor, but did she ever chow down.  I had to increase the feeding from one to two and then to three cubes of food.

Tidbits

Charlie wore Camouflage yesterday.  He kept saying, " I wearing flage.  You can't see me."

Since I have gone back to work, Rosie only wants to sleep if she is next to me.  In the bassinet or crib she fusses and whines and only sleeps about 30 minutes at a time.  But right next to me in bed?  Deep, peaceful sleep for hours. She actually slept for 8 hours last weekend!

Charlie will run laps around the living room and then say, "I run so fast!"

When Charlie wants someone with him, he will say, "Mama come with us." or "Daddy come with us."  There is really no us, just Charlie.  He also likes to verbalize where everyone is.  "Mama come with us in the car.  Daddy in an hair-plane.  Grandma Dot at home with Papa Kirby.  Grandma Janice Papa Chuck at Florida."

Our evening routine is Charlie bath, read books, Rosie bath, nurse, parents collapse. Charlie really enjoys Rosie being there while we read. When they are laying in Bed Charlie will say, "Rosie hold my hand!"  and then will hold hers. And Charlie is starting to prefer more complex books, so we have started some Dr. Seuss.

Homecoming Parade 2012

Now that Marc no longer works at UGA, he can watch the homecoming parade and enjoy it. So on November 2, we headed downtown with Grandma Dot for some Pizza and Parade fun

Watching the parade coming towards us.

Firetruck!  Probably Charlie's favorite.

Rosie meeting Hairy Dawg

Rosie meeting Uga IX and Swann Seiler

A random guy who joined the parade.

What We Ate Last Week

 Bananas!

She loved them at first, but after 10 days of bananas, she started refusing them.  I guess 10 days of any food, I might do the same - except for chocolate.

Sunday at Cracker Barrel

A couple of weekends ago, we met at the Conyers Cracker Barrel for lunch.  Hudson, Bowen and Cheri were  headed back from Disney, but "Michael Michael" was able to join us!

Touch a Truck Day

Athens Clarke County had a "Touch A Truck" day at the park just down the street from us, so we had to go, of course!  Charlie was in heaven - all kinds of trucks to climb on and test out?  A two-year old's idea of heaven!

First a garbage truck. . .

. . .and then he saw the City Bus. . .

. . .and he gave driving the bus a try.

Then Charlie climbed into some vehicles from our local Army reserve unit.

And was very excited about the motorcycle.

And finally, a lawnmower!!
