Sleeping Arrangements

When we moved to Maryland, we did not take Rosie's crib.  Instead, we moved my old bedroom furniture so she could sleep in a big girl bed.  (She was probably ready for a big girl bed in Athens, but I was in denial that my baby was growing up.)

But since we didn't have a mattress for her bed, she's been sleeping in Charlie's room in the trubdle bed.
Her new mattress has been ordered and should be delivered the week after Thanksgiving.  I wonder if they will do well in their own rooms or if they will want to be back together, because these sleeping arrangements have actually worked out very well.

Just a Swingin'

Ahhh - more memories of warm weather.  I am not one to wish away time - I wish it would move slower so I could enjoy these babies longer.  But I am ready for April already.

Our New Pool

Since today is so, so cold here in Maryland, I thought I would revisit warmer times.  The neighborhood we are currently in has two pools - one that is a typical neighborhood pool and then one that is a shallow kiddie pool.  We were only here for 2 weeks before they closed it for the season, so we used it as much as we could.  I'm already looking forward to May!

Sweet Sleeping

I am working a lot, so on Friday and Saturday nights We have been letting the kids sleep with me for extra cuddle time. Most of the time it's lovely.  But occasionally, they are bed hogs.

First Day of School in Maryland

While the school we have found in Maryland isn't quite Little Prodigies, Charlie and Rosie have found a good place.  It is very close to our house and the kids have found new friends and love their new teachers.  This was their first day - the Tuesday after Labor Day.

Last Day

I wasn't there for the kids' last day at Little Prodigies.  And that was probably a good thing, because I am sure there would have been some ugly crying on my part.  Heck, I was already in Maryland and I cried.  But that day care really did mean that much to us.  They cared for our babies while we worked.  They taught them and loved them.  And it was where we really built our Athens community.  And that is something you just can't replicate.

This was Charlie's second last day at LP.  When we were in Athens for longer than we expected, and after he healed so well from having his tonsils removed, we were able to send him back for two weeks.

P'Cola Fishing

Once the movers packed up our home in Athens, Marc and the kids spent some time in Hampton and Pensacola while the moves made their way to Maryland.  While in Pensacola, Charlie did some fishing with Papa Chuck and Uncle Tom.  He was one happy boy!

Athens Buddies

I left Athens before Marc and the kids.  They stay for another week or so while I began my job and the movers packed up.  So they got more time with our Athens friends and I lived through iPhone photos.  I miss them all so much.
