Poor Little Man

Charlie's memory is getting to be really good.  Scary good.  So good that when you tell him he can get in the swimming pool after his nap, he remembers.  So after asking and asking, we got him in his swimming gear and all set to blow bubbles.  And then - thunder.  So no swimming pool and no bubbles.  But we promised!  After his nap! How dare we say no because of some silly thunder!  We had one mad Charlie.

And he shared his anger and frustration with his baby sister.

Bouncy

My friend and colleague Kate organized a weekend morning outing at Pump It Up, our local bouncy house location.  We were a little worried that Charlie wouldn't do much, as the only other time we tried to get in a bouncy castle at a local park, he refused.  Throw yourself on the ground and scream kind of refusal.  But then he saw one of the bouncy houses had some basketballs. . .

And then we showed him the slide.  Marc wouldn't let me go up, since I was only 3 weeks removed from Rosie's c-section.  But that's okay.  I got to take pictures!

His Future's So Bright

Charlie loves to sport some shades, usually upside down.  This was a rare occasion where they were actually right-side-up.

Four Wheelin'

And while we were in Hampton, Charlie took the opportunity to ride around in the four-wheeler with cousin Bowen

Grandkiddos

A couple weeks ago, we went to Hampton to have lunch with Grandma Dot and Papa Kirby.  Uncle Michael, Aunt Cheri, Hudson and Bowen joined us, so it was a perfect opportunity for a photo with the grandkids.

Flowers in your Hair

When Charlie goes out to the back yard, he loves to find and pick flowers.  He will offer them to me and Marc, but then wants them back for himself. But he will give one to Baby Rosie and let her keep it.

Doughnuts with Dad

The Friday before Father's Day, Charlie's school hosted a breakfast for the kiddies and their fathers.  Can you tell Charlie was excited to have his Daddy with him for doughnuts?
