Rosie used some of her birthday money on a tea set, and now she and her brother have set up tea parties in the living room

Soaking Wet

Yesterday, we had quite the storm.  A tornado hit the western part of the county, and we were without power for about 6 hours. Marc picked both kids up early so if there was a tornado, they could be in our basement.  But in picking them up, Charlie and Marc were drenched.  And Charlie wanted to tell me about it.

Another Tooth!

And this one he pulled out all by himself!

And then - unprompted - Charlie wrote this note to the tooth fairy after getting a dollar coin for his tooth.  He is a sweet boy!

Here He Comes, First Grade!

The kindergarten classes at Charlie's school put on a little show a couple of days before school finished for the year.  There were a ton of parents there and despite being early, we didn't get great seats.  Not bad, but not great.  And every other parent seemed to stand up, so I had to attache my super lens to get a good look at Charlie.

He was really excited once he saw where we were sitting.

They performed their 8 healthy habits and sang a couple of songs for us.

Charlie has loved his teacher this year, and she just adores him.  And she loves flamingos!!  She was wearing the scarf Charlie gave her for Christmas.

My men in bow ties looked pretty good.

Rosie's Fourth Birthday Party

Rosie celebrated her birthday again this year with a pool party. But this year, we had an Ariel theme and Rosie had a lot of fun playing with her friends.  And her friends had fun too!

And then right before lunch, Rosie decided to get a little rest and warm up.  (The water was coooooold!)

We had pizza, wings, and. . .

They were tasty cupcakes!

She's Four!

My first pictures of Rosie as a four year old.  She doesn't look any older!

It was a very Ariel birthday.
