10 weeks

I am ten weeks pregnant today. I am still nauseous all the time, but the doctor has now given me a prescription to try and battle it. I am more tired this week and am sleeping about 10 hours each night. I am barely making it to 8pm. We are waiting with baited breath for the second trimester energy surge and lack of nausea!

Lullabelle has started to have some odd sleeping patterns. She usually stays at the end of our bed. Now she wants to go to sleep between us and then ends up sleeping on the floor. We moved the dog bed from the living room to the bedroom so both dogs have a place to snooze - LB was chasing Sandy off the dog bed when just one was in the bedroom. I think she knows something is going on!

Baby's First Pictures

Marc and I went to the doctor today and had the first ultrasound. Everything looks good! Baby has a strong, fast heartbeat and was flailing his/her little stumpy arms around. (Marc thinks Baby was trying to spell out O-H-I-O but couldn't get her/his arms over the head.)

The first three pictures are the typical ultrasound, and the last two are 3-D pictures. And the due date is now official - August 27.

The Science Fair!

Yesterday, Marc and I went to check out Trip's entry in the Clarke County Middle School Science Fair.

He and his team mates came in third. Yay Trip!

Nine Weeks

I am about nine weeks pregnant today. And it has not been easy. I am constantly nauseous. I am fortunate that I don't actually throw up, but it is miserable to feel like I am car sick all the time. For the most part, I can only eat bread and cheese. Meat is the worst! I can't look at it, smell it or even think about it without gagging.

Marc is fabulous. He is very considerate of me and my nausea and has put up with a lot of take-out and cooking on his own. And he let's me go to bed as soon as I get home from work and takes care of the dogs.

Everyone tells me that it will get better soon - once I get to the second trimester. It can't come soon enough!

Snow?

The snowstorm was coming! It was going to hit Georgia and we were going to get significant accumulation! Several inches! And then it was two inches. Then it was a half an inch.

Here's what we actually got. Pretty disappointing. We didn't even get a snow day out of it.

Christmas is for the Kiddies

Is there anything better than the joy on the face of a child? And we got a lot of joy in Hampton on Christmas!

Marc and I left Pensacola on Christmas day and drove to my parents house in Hampton. Our Christmas lunch consisted of Funyuns, beef jerky, Sweettarts and Dr. Pepper - there's not much open other than gas stations on Christmas! But we had a yummy spaghetti dinner to make up for the junk. Before dinner, we opened our gifts and the boys must have been very good this year. Here is a small sampling of the many, many gifts they received.

Opening the gifts from Aunt Lyn and Uncle Larry-

Bowen was enamored with his Mickey Mouse ornament.

They got new boots from Grandma and Papa and LOVED them.

Here's Bowen opening a piggy bank from me and Marc. I love the happy face he made when we told him what it was and what went into it.

And here's Hudson opening another gift from us. It took him a minute to figure out that it was a Transformer, but once he did he was super-excited!
