Charlie had his 9 month check up today. Lucky for him, it was a no-shot visit! He is 30.5 inches tall and still over 100th percentile. Charlie weighs 19 pounds and 6.5 ounces, which percentile-wise is down a bit - 45th percentile instead of 75th. (This could have something to do with the fact that over the weekend, he had a virus and ate very, very little.) Our doctor isn't worried because Charlies is 1.) more active and burning more calories and 2.) tall for his age. We will still try to get his weight up a bit. He still has a head that's on the smaller side, but you wouldn't know by looking at him that it is in the 20th percentile.
He is crawling and pulling up, and walking a bit while holding onto things. Charlie can wave bye bye and says Dada to Marc (although sometimes it's dadadada) and knows I'm Mama, although he only says it when he's not happy. So it's a mournful Maaamaaaa. The bottle is babababa and the dogs are a mix of dadada and papapa (for puppies, we think) Charlie babbles a lot and so we know more words are coming. Not surprising considering his parents!
