While we were in Pensacola in June, Marc's grandmother passed away. We had traveled down so that she could meet Rosie, which she had never done. (A planned trip in December was thwarted by my pneumonia.) So we were going to take her after Mimi napped one day, and she went to sleep and never woke up. Even though she never met Rosie, she loved her so much. I found a photo album she had started of Rosie as we were in her condo, and one she kept of Charlie. She loved her great grandchildren very much.
The memorial service was held the day before we left Pensacola. We were glad we could all attend.
Our family and friends sent the loveliest flowers. Thank you all so much for thinking of us!

The service did give us the chance to spend time with some special people. Rosie is named for Marc's Nanny, who passed 5 years ago. But her daughter Janny came to the service and brought her granddaughter Khloe. Rosie and Khloe had a lot of fun playing together at the reception that followed the service.

Khloe liked Rosie a lot, until she was sitting in HER grandmom's lap!
Hula Hoop!
It was quite warm at the church for both the service and the reception and poor Charlie, he just sweated the whole time. Add in some hula-hooping and he was a hot, sweaty mess!
